NUSI Suraksha Kavach Form

National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI) started by NUSI founder Shri Mohamed Ebrahim Serang has gone beyond normal trade union activities.  NUSI has redefined trade unionism for the benefit of not just the seafarers but also their family members.  The "NUSI SURAKSHA KAVACH" is one more addition to the list of NUSI welfare initiatives.

Life Insurance cover for NUSI members for Rs. 25 lakhs / Rs. 50 lakhs as per the "Jeevan Amar" policy of LIC.  Upto date NUSI members who have completed 24 months of sea service in the last five years from the date of application will be eligible.  Only savings bank account of the NUSI member will be accepted (NRE/NRO account will automatically cancel the application).  

NUSI wants to create more life insurance awareness and also assist our seafarers to be insured under this scheme as NUSI is with the seafarers “From Womb to Tomb – and sometimes beyond”.
Be a proud and secure NUSI member.  It is also your personal responsibility to take insurance and publicise this NUSI initiative with other seafarers so that the future of our families is secure.
