National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI) plays a vital role in protecting and promoting the rights, welfare, and interests of Indian seafarers. As the oldest and largest seafarers' union in India, NUSI provides strong representation in matters of employment conditions, wages, and safety standards both nationally and internationally. Through collective bargaining, welfare initiatives, training programs, legal support, and emergency assistance, NUSI ensures that seafarers and their families are supported throughout their careers. It is not just a union — it is a lifelong partner for seafarers, working to secure better opportunities, fair treatment, and a stronger voice in the global maritime industry.
